Seoul in Film

Photos were taken this time last year. Writing this now as I’m sick again in bed (second time this month wtf), wishing I can just go back to Korea instead.

In the past week I was able to finish Hotel del Luna, When the Camellia Blooms, and halved both Extraordinary You and Her Private Life. Ilang kdrama kaya ang matatapos ko before this flu goes away?! Lol. I’m thankful though that I don’t feel useless and can still work and pack merch despite being stuck at home. Distracted myself last night and did collages for fun while I wait for Zithromax to work it’s expensive magic on me. Finishing this set made me feel a wee bit better, and a lot of just really missing walking around the streets of Seoul looking for odeng + missing my bb, Park Woojin! Also, partly thinking am I sick because Wooj is also in the hospital rn? Have I mastered some delulu fan level of empathy?!

Anyway, I might not make any sense at this point because I only have 2 brain cells left and both are just talking out loud at the same time. So instead, film photo dump time!

What I remember most vividly from this trip is (1) my stay in Busan and (2) Coco Capitan’s exhibit, “Is It Tomorrow Yet?” Her words — mapanakit. Haha. “It’s challenging, I need that challenge.”

I miss trying to keep my hands from not freezing at night. I miss layering clothes. I miss Wanna One playing in 80% of the restaurants I go to. I miss subway birthday ads. I miss dwaeji gukbap!!

Please appreciate the looking like an absolute jowa Lim Youngmin drawing that is in no way related to the photos but I just wanna draw.

Making these collages and drawing little things on these photos make me really happy! (And nostalgic!) It’s an unconventional type of medicine. It might not really work but I hope you also get to prescribe yourself your happy pill when you need it.

Wandering,
Louise
