Slice of solace

February has been long walks and early nights. Smells like oranges and pears. Feels like a free cut, a day wasted yet well spent. Sounds like fading raindrops. Ripples in water puddles from a short summer shower. Wavering, but hey, still moving.

I wish you the same bright mornings, and cold rains. I wish you pockets of ease on uncertain days.

My letter this time is quite short. Timely how it is also the shortest month of the year. Unlike how nice it seems, the month hasn’t really been all wonderful. But it is a comforting one, a sigh of relief. Solace, of sorts.

Sharing this energy I’ve been trying to adapt more of:

Taking it easy,
Louise

Feb things and quick links

  • A lot of NCT / Aquarius boys’ birthdays

  • Made the cover art for Threads by Tandems ‘91 and Reese Lansangan. The doubles part gave me shivers! SO GOOD!

  • Been listening to other Tandems ’91 songs since.

  • Revamped my website. The new one is up and m very happy with it.

  • ‘Twas nice meeting friends! I am going out again this weekend (and then recharging myself lol, no one will be hearing for me for at least a month)

  • Sharing other letters I love getting notifs from:

  • Once again obsessively listening to Epik High is Here Part 2. They make heartbreak and pain sound so BEAUTIFUL.

  • Ending with these lyrics from Rain Song which just fits right for today’s art and notes. It kept playing in my head, very dungaw-sa-bintana feeling.

“Just when it seems like it'll stop, the rain falls again.
I'm doing okay”
